HACRO Achievement Awards 2018

I was delighted to attend the HACRO Achievement Awards this week, which celebrated the significant achievement of ex-offenders who have succeeded in turning their lives around and who have become law-abiding, contributing members of our community in a variety of roles.

Over 150 people attended the event, which was held at The Weston Auditorium, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield

The evening demonstrated some incredible stories of achievement and commitment by ex- offenders, Volunteers and local Partner organisations.

A variety of Awards were presented, with the help of generous sponsors. These included:

- Succeeding in Employment

- Commitment to Recovery

- Overcoming Addiction

- Turning Your Life Around

- Being A Role Model

- The Grit Awards

HACRO’s mission is to offer support for offenders, potential offenders and their families to manage positive change in their lives; to engage with influential partners in the community of Hertfordshire and neighbouring counties; and work to establish a range of educational and training initiatives with a focus on gaps in provision.

For more information about HACRO and what they do, to view photographs of the event and to obtain more information or arrange a meeting with the award winners or Sponsors, please visit their website www.hacro.org.uk and download the evening programme.
