Hertfordshire Constabulary's Long Service and Commendation Awards

I was delighted to attend Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Long Service and Commendation Awards this week. This event gives the Constabulary an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and outstanding work of their staff, as well as show appreciation for the acts of bravery and courage carried out by officers and members of the community. Some of the awards presented were for Police Long Service and Good Conduct, Special Constabulary Long Service Awards, Police Staff Long Service Awards, Royal Humane Society Awards and the Chief Constable's Commendation. It was a great honour to take part in this event, my first at Police HQ as High Sheriff, and particularly pleasing to see a group of 11 year old boys receive recognition for helping to save a man’s life through their brave actions. A selection of photos from the evening are attached below and I would like to congratulate all those receiving awards. They were richly deserved. I would also like to thank Chief Constable Charlie Hall for inviting me.
