What a busy start!

The first month of my year as High Sheriff has absolutely flown by!

From meetings at Police Headquarters, planning my Justice Service at St Albans Cathedral (scheduled for Sunday 5th November), to handing out medals at the British Empire Medal Ceremony at County Hall I have already encountered some amazing people and have so many occasions to look forward to.

My wife, Kate, and I have also had the pleasure of visiting a number of the districts and boroughs around the County. We have experienced very enjoyable days in the company of Watford Borough Council, Three Rivers District Council, Broxbourne Borough Council and North Herts District Council who have all shown us the wonderful work undertaken by many volunteer organisations across the county, as well as highlighting the various strengths of so many different towns and villages. I would like to thank all of the Mayors, Chairman, Leaders and Chief Executives who have given up their time to support our visits. I look forward to visiting the remaining boroughs and districts in the near future.
