High Sheriff of Hertfordshire Garden Party

Despite heavy rain, Saturday's Garden Party was absolutely marvellous.

It was heartening to see such a large and varied group of people from this wonderful County come together to talk about their backgrounds, their important work and also to just enjoy themselves.

Special thanks to the Royal National Rose Society - Garden of the Rose for providing us with such a beautiful venue, to the Hertford and Ware Police Cadets (and Mozart, their lively cocker spaniel mascot!), and for the beautiful music provided by the Stevenage Sea Cadets & Royal Marine Cadets band and the Salisbury String Quartet.

In line with my shrieval theme of combatting domestic abuse, we also had an exhibition of all the DA work that is currently happening in the County. A massive thanks to all of the groups (too numerous to mention) who contributed to this.
