CVSBEH Community Skills Hub Opening

I was thrilled to officially open the newly refurbished CVSBEH Community Skills Hub this week in Waltham Cross. The Hub is delivered by Community Voluntary Services for Broxbourne and East Herts (CVSBEH) and delivers several support services to local residents looking to improve their learning, skills and employability. It is available for community hire and has ground floor space suitable for training, meetings and community activities. It was a very well attended opening and given there is data to suggest Waltham Cross is an area of relatively low educational achievement and skills for employment, the Hub is clearly going to be a great asset to the local community. The Chief Officer for CVS Broxbourne & East Herts, Ian Richardson, said ‘CVSBEH is really excited about this opportunity to support employability, skills and learning provision in Waltham Cross and the whole of the Borough of Broxbourne. We are extremely grateful to our local partners including Broxbourne Council and Hertford Regional College for their support and look forward to making a significant difference to the lives of local residents. CVSBEH exists to actively support our local communities and this partnership project is further evidence of our commitment to doing so.’ Thank you for inviting me to cut the ribbon! If you would like further information on the facilities available at the Hub please contact CVSBEH on 0300 123 1034 or email admin@cvsbeh.org.uk
