Hertfordshire Special Constabulary Training Day

I attended the inaugural training day for Police Specials, covering a broad range of police work including domestic abuse/violence, missing persons, scene of crime work, road traffic accidents and many more.

I sat in on an excellent domestic abuse training session and sat in on training on how to risk assess missing persons. We also visited the Contact Centre which receives 999 and 101 calls.

There was a delicious BBQ at the end of the day. Here I had the chance to talk to several Specials. I was very taken with their stories, and thoroughly impressed by their commitment and professionalism.
