Yesterday I went to visit Matt and Charles, the brilliantly creative minds behind the bespoke oak contractor Rough Stuff Oak.
Rough Stuff create rustic oak boards for food display, tables, benches and so much more. And who makes all of these boards? Inmates at the Mount Prison in Hertfordshire. This gives these inmates the opportunity to learn new skills, job discipline and to show pride in their own hard work. This could give them bigger and better opportunities on release, and could be crucial to breaking the cycle of criminality. A truly worthwhile venture.
